Every year, QDMA’s volunteer Branches introduce hundreds of young people to deer hunting, and the QDMA National Office joins their efforts with our National Youth Hunt. We seek nominee hunters who have the desire to go deer hunting but no chance to fulfill that desire, and we take them on a true “dream hunt.” Each year, the attendees enjoy not only the opportunity to harvest deer, but also camaraderie, along with once-in-a-lifetime experiences like rifle training with the US Army Marksmanship Unit and other unique sessions, including how to age deer, bird dog demonstrations, and much more. Over the course of the four-day event, the attendees make lasting memories and friendships while experiencing a beautiful property.
The nomination period for the 2018 National Youth Hunt is now CLOSED. We will open up nominations for the 2019 hunt at a later date. Any QDMA member or QDMA Branch may nominate a youth for this event.

To be consistent with the spirit and intent of the QDMA National Youth Hunt, we give priority to youngsters who are NEW to hunting and who would otherwise not have much opportunity to participate in the outdoor sports.
