Jacob Pries Joins QDMA as Policy Intern

QDMA is pleased to announce that Jacob Pries has joined the organization as a policy intern. The position is part of QDMA’s Conservation Department under Director Kip Adams and will focus on legislative issues impacting white-tailed deer and wildlife conservation and advancing QDMA’s advocacy efforts.

“Jacob’s assistance will allow us to greatly enhance our advocacy efforts and increase the impact we have at the legislative level,” said Adams. “His work will directly benefit wild deer herds, natural resource managers, and especially QDMA members.”

Pries is currently a student at the University of Toledo College of Law. He received his bachelor’s degree in political science from the College of Wooster and most recently served as an intern for the Killbuck Watershed Land Trust.

“It is an absolute honor to be advocating on behalf of such a prestigious organization to preserve the hunting traditions we have all come to cherish,” said Pries. “To be able to play a role in increasing the advocacy presence of QDMA, both in Washington D.C. and across the country, is a great privilege.”

Pries will serve as QDMA’s policy intern from May 11 through August 9, 2019. Future internship opportunities with QDMA will be posted on the the QDMA website employment page.
