Mentors and First Time Hunters Needed!
The Steel City QDMA is hosting a first-time adult hunter event at the Lutherlyn camp in Butler, PA on 10/26/19. We will be teaching the hunters how all about crossbow safety, shot placement, effective ground blind and treestand placement, whitetail biology, whitetail habitat, and the breakdown and processing of an animal to prepare for consumption.
If you would like to help mentor at this event or if you know of an adult who may have an interest in learning to hunt we encourage you to attend and encourage others to help with this event.
It’s our annual meeting date! The Susquehanna Branch of QDMA is holding their annual open meeting the second Sunday of November. Dinner will be served at 5:00 PM and all local QDMA members are encouraged to come.
On the agenda for the meeting is a speaker on the spotted lantern fly, land manager Phil Kasper, and warden Ben Rebuck from the Pennsylvania Game Commission. After the speakers we will hold our elections for open director positions. Any QDMA member is eligible to vote. We will also be drawing the 3 winners from our annual gun raffle. Tickets are still available and if there are any left they will be for sale at the door November 10th as well.
If you are interested in attending please reach out to Ace Cuevas so we can get a head count for food.
Hope to see you November 10th!
