Default How much lbs. of clover seed per acre?

I plan to plant Durana Clover on my farm in Mississippi this fall.

I have seen recommendations of 3 to 8 pounds of seed per acre. I have read planting guides from Mississippi State, LSU and UT which all have great Ag schools as well as the pennington seed guide.
What rates per acre have you planted with and the results?

Thanks for the help!

Depends on the type of clover. I usually plant a mix in the fall that includes clover. One of my favorites is:

Cowpeas (40 lb/ac)
Oats (40 lb/ac) you can use wheat or rye instead.
Chicory (2 lb/ac)
Patriot White Clover (3 lb/ac)
Durana Clover (3 lb/ac)
Crimson Clover (2 lb/ac)
Purple Top Turnips (2 lb/ac)

This makes a good hunting plot in the fall and provides some food throughout the winter. the clovers take off the following spring. The crimson and Patriot White take off quickly and help control weeds. The Durana takes longer to establish, but should last longer than the Patriot White.

Just one man's approach...

I've never planted Durana clover but I would think the low end you mentioned (3#) would be for being drilled. Personally I'd go closer to the 8#--at least if I was planting plain ladino clover.

8 lbs/ac alone. Better is to plant 50 lbs/ac winter wheat and disk in. Then top-dress with a mix of 4 lbs/ac durana, 4 lbs/ac patriot, and 6 lbs/ac apache arrowleaf. Trust me on this.
