Finally, a day the wind wasn't blowing 30 mph. We got an 80 acre woodland burn done today, results were excellent, nice consumption of the leaf litter. We'll be following up with timber thinning to increase herbaceous cover.

No, I had the camera with, but there wasn't much for show. The wind was light and variable so mostly smoke without a clearly defined fire front. We had east, north, west, south and finally southwest winds. We had good fire breaks so the shifting winds weren't a major problem other than having to eat more smoke than we wanted to.

I know where your wind ended up.... 30 to 40 MPH throughout the day here. You are lucky on a second front as well, I don't think I could ever get a burn permit but what it would do for my place would be incredible
