As we are planting our deer plots this fall we are planning on turnips, rape and kale. Looking at brassicas, collards are a large leaf brassica that turns sweet when the weather cools off. Seed is pretty cheap. Do deer eat them? "D"

Wouldn't hurt a thing to throw out some seed and find out, like you said its cheap. I've been saving the dried beans out of my garden to throw out in my fall plots because they came up good after just being thrown in the ailes while picking. The deer hammered them when we first planted and they are free. Sorry I didn't plant collards so I don't know.

We used to have a patch in one of the fields that were near the house. There were always deer there....redneck brassica if you ask me.

Deer Eat Greens of very sort. Mustard greens, collard greens, turnip greens, rape, kale etc. Plant it and they will come.
