This thread is intended to give readers a wide variety of information related to homebrew trail cameras. It’s a resource for information as well as a source of where one might find additional information. Its not a recommendation for any type camera or supplier.

What is a homebrew trail camera ?

Its built by modifying a hand held digital camera so it can accept commands ( Power On, Shutter, Refresh, Power Off) from a computer control board that is equipped with a heat/motion sensor and enclosed in a water proof case.

Really good all around Homebrew Link Pg (http://www.d.umn.edu/~shall/Homebrews.htm)

This camera has begun to be used by a lot of camera builders due to its ease of modification (not EASY, but not as difficult as some) and its high quality pictures.
