For the grasses spray with poast or select wich ever you can get easily in your area. The broadleafs try butarac 200 or raptor. Contact foodplotdude he can help you most of all.

Fertilize p and k as your soil sample recomends, if it calls for micro nutrients add some of them in as well.

I am new to food plotting as well. Someone on this forum told me to read the book "Quality Food Plots". I bought it through the QDMA online store. It is an awesome book and will answer nearly all your questions. I highly reccomend purchasing it. I have read it a couple of times!

Congrads on the nice buck! Sounds like a real good main frame 8 pt.

Check out the following website: http://www.americasalfalfa.com/

There is a wealth of info. about alfalfa there. One of the micronutrients you may need is boron. I will be applying about four pounds of it per acre to a one year old plot.
