The new Capital City Branch held its first educational event in Fall River on June 18. Grandpa Ray Outdoors invited the Branch out to view their 1-acre food plot test sites. Forty different varieties of forages were viewed and discussed. It was a great event with 30 in attendance, and everyone walked away with new information regarding the different forages, learning when, why and how to plant them, easy tilling techniques, soil compaction issues, problems with over seeding, how to read a food plot seed bag and more.
Thanks to QDMA member John O’Brion with Grandpa Ray Outdoors for sponsoring the event!
