Jim Stickles is a Masters student at the University of Georgia’s Warnell School of Forestry and Natural Resources studying under Dr. Karl V. Miller and Dr. Robert J. Warren. His research involves monitoring deer movements along a stretch of I-20 in Madison, Georgia where an existing 4-foot right-of-way fence will be retrofitted with outriggers and wire to mitigate deer/vehicle collisions. Since graduating from SUNY:ESF in 2007 with a B.S. in wildlife science, Jim has worked with deer and other wildlife in New York and Pennsylvania. His most recent work involved capturing deer and monitoring their movements for a study investigating the impacts of a regulation change on deer population dynamics in Northeast Pennsylvania. Jim is a member of The Wildlife Society where he is a certified Associate Wildlife Biologist. He is also a member of QDMA.
