QDMA Awards Hunter’s Specialties Corporate Achievement Award
BOGART, Ga. – During the Quality Deer Management Association’s 9th Annual National Convention held July 23 – 26 in Louisville, Hunter’s Specialties accepted the Corporate Achievement Award for their dedicated partnership with QDMA.
During the last four years, the involvement of Hunter’s Specialties has greatly benefited QDMA’s outreach and conservation efforts. By donating products and offering the services of their Pro Staff, they have enhanced QDMA’s Annual Youth Hunt, along with other educational events and fundraisers. Recently, Hunter’s Specialties joined forces with QDMA in the packaging of their habitat improvement products. The co-branding of the product enabled Hunter’s Specialties to strengthen their place in the market, and QDMA realized the greater good of being aligned with this leading brand in the marketplace.
“Carman and I are honored to receive the Corporate Achievement Award from the Quality Deer Management Association,” said Dave Forbes, co-owner Hunter’s Specialties. “Our goal has always been to help landowners enhance the quality and health of the deer on their properties with our line of Vita-Rack seeds and Vita-Rack 26 mineral. We’re proud to support QDMA in their efforts and look forward to continuing our partnership with them.”
Beyond their success and generosity as a company, Dave and Carman Forbes work tirelessly to support conservation. Their involvement with the QDMA is just a small part of the commitment that they have made to conservation. They are aligned with numerous organizations that strive to sustain wildlife populations and protect the environment. The Forbes are also stewards of the land and believers in QDM, as evidenced by their own property, which is a showcase for modern habitat management.
“It is indeed an honor to present Hunter’s Specialties with the 2009 QDMA Corporate Achievement Award,” said Randy Bowden, QDMA’s Director of Marketing & Corporate Relations. “Dave and Carman Forbes, along with the entire HS crew, are a gem in our industry. They set an example of what it means to support conservation. They are true supporters, not only of the industry, but also of the land that allows us to enjoy a highly valued outdoor lifestyle. The Hunter’s Specialties folks are an extremely supportive group who exhibit an attitude of graciousness and a willingness to further the mission of QDMA.”
