GOL Level 1 Classes

I wanted to let everyone know particuarly those in PA and surrounding states that the PA Sustainable Forestry Initiative (PA- SFI) just released their 2012 training schedule. There are several GOL Level 1 classes thru PA. Go to www.sfiofpa.org click the Logger training tab at the top, then the training calendar tab on the right to see the schedule and costs. Most were around $60 a person for 1 day. Not sure if you can regester online or not but there is e-mail and ph# contacts to call if you have questions.

SFI has a GOL Level 1 in Pottsville PA on the 29th. They have a few spots that need filled. Contact Nate at pasfi@sfiofpa.org to sign up. Nate also said that anyone that is a non logger is welcome at any of the remaining SFI GOL classes on the PA SFI schedule but PLEASE.... do not contact him to sign up until the deadline date or shortly after. He needs to fill classes with loggers before he can accept landowners since SFI is a logger oriented non-profit.
