Talking Shed dog comin....

Tom James, Firminator, is bringing his shed dog to The Country Lodge tomorrow for the weekend. Even with the 3" of rain we are getting it should be a fun weekend. I can't wait to see him work and hopefully he will be successful.

I am hopeful that I will have a bunch of pics to post Sunday night.

It will be fun either way!!

Good luck! Take some pics in the field, whether your find a bunch, or not. I like to see a dog work, too.

Cool, it would be fun to see how a shed dog works.

10 total sheds and 2 full skulls, 1 of which is a 160 class 9 point I've never seen before. It's a couple years old, but in perfect condition.

Trick question.

She found the skull before we did, but we would have found it without her. Tom found the skeleton and while we were looking at the jawbone(funny, something I NEVER would have done 3 years ago) we looked up and she had the skull in her mouth, about 20 yards away.

Also, she found the only set we found, but chances are we would have found it also.

It was just a lot of fun and I went into some places I have never been before due to it being so thick and found some cool stuff. I wouldn't have went in there without the dog.

With every single shed except one, whoever saw it would alert the other and we would back away and wait until she found it. She found every single one. It is amazing to watch her work. She couldn't care less about old bones and carcasses, only antlers.
