Big bucks from Southern Ontario

Man, those are some hogs. I hope to make a trip up there sometime. Do you think there is any room left up there for an ol'southern boy?

There is lots of room uphere in Ontario.... unfortunately many parts of Southern/South Western Ontario are resident only areas and mainly private land. My brother lives in Michigan he hunts here every year. Grey/Bruce county Close to where Beeker's 197" was taken.

Generally to get into Non-resident areas you will have to go appx 2-3 hrs North or North East of Toronto. Tags are pricey too about $200.00CDN and generally bucks only although some areas you can apply for doe permits

Northwestern Ontario is full of huge Whitetails but it is mainly big woods country up there and a guide for non resident hunters is required.

I can't Imagine anyone from the Mid-western states wanting to hunt anywhere but home, don't you guys have 180 inchers tied to every second tree down there?

It's nice to see we have some monsters up here too!

This might start a war....but once you have hunted in Canada and you like still hunting on snow having a 300 lb+ buck sneak by you in some thicket separates the men from the boys. Sorry thats just my opinion.
Have not tried the Ontario providence but would be willing to go...anyone out there with QDMA want to plan a trip? Maybe I'll figure out where to start that thread on here...

Great photos of GREAT deer. I have shot a lot of deer in Southern Ontario, suffice to say none in the 197 class. I do plan on it though, I just bought 49 acres and am starting to develop it.
