after waiting for it to quit raining here in western ny i finally got my lime down. i have been planning on doing this every weekend for the last month. friday afternoon i had 9 ton's of pulverized lime delivered. i wasn't there but my wife was. she asked about when i should pick up the lime spreader, she was told it was accidently rented out even though i had it reserved

to say i was upset would be an understatement because i am stuck home the next weekend or two. anyway they found the spreader saturday morning and i was able to pick it up at noon saturday. it took us six hours to lime 4 plot's. i am pretty happy to finally have this done. i don't know if i will try anything other than grains this year. 3 of the plots were in the mid 5's for ph and one was 5 even.
