Believe this would be considered pre-rut; my experience is that the rut coincides the later part of November into December. Once again my experience and I hunt a little further south than yourself.

Good luck and look forward to hearing of your success.

Absolute best week of the year, no question. You will be seeing some major activity. I have always said if I could only hunt 7 days a year it would be the first 7 days of November. Bring your antlers and grunt tube.

Default so dates are good?

Some of the guys going with me are saying that the week of the 16 would be better, but we are bowhunting and if there is one thing I hate it is trying to stop a rutting buck from chasing a doe to get a shot. I personally would rather hunt the pre rut phase while I have a bow in my hands. Thanks for your help and wish me luck

I have always considered the first 2 weeks ov Nov. as prime time....I have firrst 2 weeks
off as vacation.

Although if you buy into the rutting moon theory, the rut will be later this year.

Just keep in mind first season shot gun starts at the end of that week (21st - 23rd). So you will not be able to bow hunt these days.
