Default For Sale, 2 Reconyx HC500 cameras with security box

I have 2 Reconyx HC500 Cameras that I would like to sell. They come with a security box made by Camlockbox. I had them out since last Summer and they always worked very good. They took approximately 2,000 or 3,000 pictures each. I'm using Bushnell cameras now because I like to use a viewing screen and now I would like to sell these. I still have the box and all the stuff that came with the camera.
I can email you some pictures if you want to see them.
I'm asking $450.00 for 1 camera and security box or $850.00 for everything. (shipped)
I would be glad to answer any questions you have.

yeah check out ebay and see what's selling for the same item...it looks like you can buy a brand new hc500 for $429, so you might have to sell for $350-$400

You are right. I think I gave around $50.00 for the box. I'll sell them for $425.00 each or $800.00 for the 2.

You might be better off keeping your price high. That way they won't sell and you won't have to buy them back when the Bushnells bite the dust...

I agree...I'm surprised you want to sell them. IMO can't have too many cams. Now if you're selling to get Buckeye cams that's a different story. While BEC still has a lot of kinks to work out on the X7D, I think wireless is the ticket especially at the cost comparison with the reduced prices of the BECs.

I like how the Bushnells take better pictures in the night.
Can the Buckeye Cams send the pictures 300 miles to your computer or does the computer have to be close to the camera? I often thought it would be nice having one that sends the pictures to a computer.

No don't have to have computer on site. Could possibly relay pics to one camera which you could retrieve the card when you get there, but this would involve bounces pics off other cams and from hearing Jack talk this is a last resort.

Second option is to have computer on site which yes it can email you the pics anywhere in the world.

Third option is a cellular base which would probably be your best option, sends pics to your but just have to have one cellular plan that charges you monthly.

What year/model of the Bushnell are you using? Do you have a new 2012 Bushnell? We have been through lots of the 2011's, model 119436C and they have been terrible, especially the night pics. They are so dark you can hardly tell what you are looking at unless they are very close and right in the middle of the flash. I have had 2 of the 2009 BTC's for 3 years or so, and they have worked flawlessly and the night pics are as good or better than any of the IR flash cams that I've seen. From what I've seen so far on the 2012 BTC's, it looks like they have a much better camera this year compared to last, faster trigger and the night pics have been improved dramatically over last years. The 2011 models we had all had very poor triggers too, either they would go off non stop or take pictures randomly all day/night, or they would not go off at all when deer or other animals were known to pass in front of them.

thanks

Wow, on ebay looks like you've sold a lot of stuff! Are you a camera dealer or something? Surprised you didn't think to put on ebay first rather than come here???

I was making bear boxes for game cameras for a while and selling them on Ebay. If this sells for $400.00 I think I would have to pay Ebay about $40.00 (Maybe more) I was hoping to sell it directly to someone so I don't have those charges.

Very cool (bear boxes)! Thankfully I don't have to worry about them, just the humans with sticky fingers

I let my bears run free and don't keep them in boxes.

I should say security box. It keeps the cameras safe from wildlife. Once you have the box fastened where you want it the cameras will always point to the same spot.

Wow! I'm surprised how well the price is holding up. Your current bid is $331. Just for kicks, I did an ebay query on Bushnell Game Camera with condition used. The highest price of a camera with at least one bid was $76.

Just shows you how well the used price of the Reconyx holds up by comparison.
