Default Whos seeing Antler Growth already?

Seems like most bucks have just dropped thier antlers and we are already seeing some growth. Is it because of the mild winter and high temps so early or do they usually start growing this time of year?

Who is seeing Antler growth already? PIX?

Yesterday I watched a buck right outside my window that had almost 4" of growth already! He's actually starting the early stages of developing brow tines.
I know this buck. He has some rips in his ears so his nickname is "Rip". He was a decent 8 point last year and shed VERY early. He had both sides gone by December 6th.
Here's what he looked like last July 15th. I'm hoping he'll be a solid 140" this year.

I finally got my camera out. And got several pictures of "Rip". (he's the same buck as in the photo in post#4) Photo date was 4/24/12. Not bad antler growth for this early in the year. I'm pretty sure that he is turning 4 years old. Now if we can only get him to stick around, and avoid poachers, cars and dogs, we might have a pretty good buck to chase this fall
