Foliar or granular fertilizer for clover?

Does anyone have experience with using foliar liquid fertilizer on clover? I was considering using some rather than spreading some 0-20-20. Any thoughts?

Dry always and first choice. Foliar only if you need a 'rescue treatment' for high $$ forage/crop.

I use both on my clover plot. 0-0-60 and Antler Kings Jolt fertilizer spray.

What ever you end up doing for fertilizer will be good for your clover. Majority of the people here spread 0-0-60 if they can get it.

Also do you have alot of weeds in your clover? Look around on this site for topics also about weed control in clover, lots of great info.

The only thing I might spray foliar is Boron. Solubor (20% boron) diluted in water and sprayed down, allows precise application in the 1/2 to 1 lb boron per acre range. As required per tissue sample or soil test. Most other nutrients applied in larger ammounts, is easier (less weight) and cheaper to apply in granular form.

Thanks for the responses. The plots were planted last spring, and as you can imagine, there are a lot of weeds. I plan on spraying some generic version of select in may. Any suggestions on a good generic version and where to get it?
