Acorns

There are several red oaks of different varieties scattered across the University grounds where I work. I was walking across campus today and took a look at a few of them and they are absolutely loaded with acorns.

Loaded.

I havent been down to the farm for the past few weeks so I dont know how those trees are doing .... hopefully they are the same.

So, any other acorn reports?

Im located in south western Indiana right on the Wabash river.

Both the red and white crops look outstanding again from the few trees I checked in Northern MO.

Here is what a black oak from my property looks like on every single limb.

My bur oak trees (West Central MN) look to be loaded with acorns again this year, last year was a poor year, so I am guessing that this will be a great year. Warm weather and lots of rain should help, I would think?

I'm seeing White Oak acorns already but no Red oak!
