Is your rut even over by now? Ours has been gone for almost two months - - - well actually we did have a few does that didn't get caught by ole mossy horns the first time around and ended up with a short rut in mid December.

i'm glad its over! got burnt out. we went out yesterday and started burning laps in the clearcuts. i've never been so cold in my life. it was about 0 degrees when we went down there. we are trying to get an area in shape for bedding.

Did not get to hunt as much as I wanted so I'm remiss the season is over. However, I am looking forward to getting a few projects done in the offseason to continue improving my property.

All in all the season is 12 months for me.....hunting is the exclamation point !!!:)

To me the beauty of management is that deer season never ends. The only thing that changes with the calendar is the tools used.
