...my favorite kind. Reports are we received nearly 5 inches of unexpected rain at The Farm last night. Two days after plowing in 32 tons of chicken litter. Thank you God.

I knew ya'll got a soaling up there, but didn't realize it was 5 inches! Fantastic. I hope we can all get some in October. However, I know the farmers down here don't want it from now til December. They are picking peanuts here now. They'll be picking cotton soon.

Yep. Told Dad to get me some of them fresh peanuts when he goes back to Tifton this week. Nothing like fresh boiled peanuts.

We got a little yesterday maybe just enough to keep my fall plots from burning up. Very slight chances later this week too.

yes thank god for the rain!! :) :) Dad is going down tomorrow morning to work ,I told him to call me as soon as he gets there, to confirm the rain totals.
