I finally got out there today with the camera. Here are some shots of my hunting and destination plots. In the woods, I planted Secret Spot, Hot Spot, and Green Patch Plus. Next year I plan on mixing my own....this stuff is too expensive. I planted them at 3 different times, so some is further along than others. We've only had 1 light rain since I planted. In the cages are some apple trees I planted this Spring. This past week I hired a guy to run his dozer through the woods to clean up the logging roads. I also have done some hinge cuts, trying to thicken it up.

Looks like they're coming along nice. Great looking property, good work!

Looks good. I have 3-4 plots that look very similar (as for as size and shady). I mixed my own this year of oats, arrowleaf clover, chicory, AWP and IC peas and just planted last last weekend. Waiting on rain now but should get it on Wednesday from Gustav. I will post some updated pictures when I get back to the ranch.

that I put in took several hours. Was similar to what yours looked like. All I had was a rake and shovel and effort. Threw in some chicory and hope that late season after the farms are harvested that the deer will be stopping by. A good frost won't hurt.

the crops around july 27th and timed it just before a good heavy rain. Here is what it looks like one month after planting...
