I recently purchased some Durana from Harvery and will be planting on labor day weekend. I won't be able to lime everything like i would prefer but the soil i'm planting in seems pretty fertile (PH 6 or better) so i'm going to give it a shot. My question is how much nitrogen, phosphate, and potash i should apply prior to planting to give it an extra boost?

I have had good luck with 300lbs an acre of 0-20-20 for my Durana. Disc the fertilizer in if possible, seems much better in test plots disced in. Seed on top and pack. Some people use a low Nitrogen fert. for starting clover, mine started fine on the 0 nitrogen fert.

I agree with above. 300# per acre of 0-20-20 would be good. If you are putting in a nurse crop of rye, wheat or oats you might go with 5-20-20 to add a bit of N. Or just add a bag or two of 10-10-10 to the previous. 300 # rec. Good luck. "D"
