I'm wondering about the pros and cons of liquid fertilizer vs granular, especially as it relates to row application of nitrogen on corn. Which is more cost effective, which has a longer shelf life before it goes bad, what about availability of one vs the other, which is easier to apply to sidedress row plantings, etc. etc.

Any advise would be appreciated, especially any links to sources that address this issue.

Very interested also. In addition, Are you guys melting down urea and considering it a sprayable? Or are you buying the fert in the liquid state? If it is in the liquid state what are the sources of NPK?
